its been awhile since i wrote on this. like whole-heart-on-plate write. and today was just crappy enough to make my fingers click away on the lappie. learning medicine is just not plain taxing for me anymore. it seems like i've lost any minute emotions i have left in my amygdala since i came into surgery postings. last semester, i bitched and whined through it. but, i did enjoy it in some freaky level.

now.. i'm at a stage where i'm just plain scared right down to my osteo to even attend a class. where the teacher picks on you, sending you out of classes, humiliating you; just because your sitting positions are wrong. he might be a prof, knowledge level memang mantap. but then, what's the point when your students are plain terrified of you.

many say, don't run away. he will just remember you and keep hold of you. especially during the worst of times (read: end posting exams). at that point, just pray to god you do well enough for him NOT to fail you. according to eye-witness statements and the statistics, that almost NEVER happens. sigh. all i can do now is study hard, pray harder and just keep crossing my fingers. 2 weeks down, another 6 to go.

Ya Allah, help me here please. Ameen.

was studying in Mcd with noreen (hello you! if you're actually reading this. hee) when this lil cute thing came around my table for food scraps. ran back to the car, where i ALWAYS keep cat food. (if i can't save all the cats out there, i can at least feed them right? :D) gave him food enough for a week and went back to stdying. he went to go play2 with other ppl, made a fool of himself. i guess he was done for the night and decided to just jump on my lap and doze off.

OHMAIGOD. you tell me, how on earth was i to let him go? there was so much drama in between, which would embarrass me. i'm skipping it all to say he is now safe and comfortable in my home. taken care and being fed like 10 times a day. man, he's eating like all the time and not pooping. how's that even possible?? like sheila says, exploited itself to get a better life, from the streets----to a home. HEEE :DD

he made me smile through the week. calling home thrice a day to check up. i guess, HE gave me a lil happiness bfore all the shitty stuff came. so, am still strong and bitching about it here. LOL. i say, bring it on next friday sir! i'll be ready.

currently in medicine postings. having to go to muar EVERYDAY for ONE MONTH makes me flop at the end of the day. but buuuuttttt, BRIGHT SIDE? Dr. Lim E.K, an MO in ward 8 *swoonss!!* am on a mission to get his full name out of those initials. then, its FB stalking :D

last saturday, i went to the Korean Music Wave 2011 concert in Stadium Merdeka. reason for being there? besides the obvious of me being an avid kpop fan and would go anywhere korean-related, MY BABY JIYOUNGIE WAS IN THE HOUSE!! owh, and also TOP with baby seungri. ashlsakfdgjajasdakf;jhhs!!!!! *jumps up and down*

its safe to say that 99.9% who came were there for big bang.

MC goes on listing the line up of the night. the crowd goes "aahhhhh!! yaaaaayyyy!!"

MC goes and say BIG BANG!! the whole stadium was "AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

its finally here. its all so bittersweet. the movie marks the real ending of the whole harry potter journey, something i've had ever since primary days. part of me wants it out NOW, the other wants it to continue forever. i shall be forever be in debt to Mrs. Rowling for giving me the best magical ride a girl could have.

freeehhhdomee people! and next up, as you might have read. psychiatry! its been 12days, and its utter bliss. minus 1 point amidst it all,

to those who can imagine him, "you use the phone infront of me, YOUU DIEEEEEEE!!!". siap bulging eyeballs and gritted teeth. geez -_______-

handling patients in this wards can by amusing at times, but ALWAYS i pity them. having to be born with such a defect in their minds, so easily ridiculed by outsiders who cannot understand them. at least, they are all on the road to recovery.

i 1st entered the ward last monday, all wide-eyed and excited. and this chinese lady came straight at me saying, "saya kenal awak!" imagine my surprise, and went "owh?? mana you pernah tengok saya??". "DALAM TV!! ITU ASTRO GUNA MUKA AWAK TAK BAYAR, MCM SAYA PUN!!" i was like -_________________-, while the rest ran away trying not to laugh. well, at least i'm famous! in someone's head atleast :)

it was day before yesterday. with extra semangat, i went out jogging around the campus. as usual.

and soo.. there was i, jogging. minding my own business. listening to my mp3 while trying to control muka jogging yang lawa. is there even such a face? heh. thennn, muncul this family of cows. got papa cow, mama cow, even 2 anak cows. they were coming towards me, on both sides of the road. saya pun bagi jalan, jogged in the middle of the road. past them while tahan nafas. they smell like cow poop kot. haha.

suddenly la kan, i heard shoutings behind me. i was like apakahhh??, and turned around. saw one uncle jumping up n down, looking at me n pointing at a cow. guess what, one of the cows started to chase me from behind. literally a cow was running, not brisk walking towards me. can u even imagine it?? i'm guessing its the mama cow but with HORNS. got the shock of my life! apalagi.. i started running my ass of la!

to make it even more annoying, as soon as i started running.. it stopped and made a u-turn to join the family back. hekelehhhhhh, %*#(*!%^@$ punya lembu!!! tak kacau u pun kott!! the uncle pulak, started laughing after it ended. eyh, pakcik ni pun satu T.T

i've never stated anything much here about my interest, or others would say obsession, towards a korean group, BIGBANG. but today, i was woken up by his phone call that sent me to the moon! :D. here's the story.

BIGBANG is having this japan concert tour really soon. in the celebration of it, they gabung tenaga with UNIQLO japan and came out with this whole batch of limited edition BB tees. and, i was like, uniqlo KL ada!! soo, apalagi. called up mr boyfie, put in a lil bit of aegyo and made him drive to KL to check it out for me. turns out the shop was closed 2 days for the gongxi gongxi. quoting him, 'u ni kan, mmg nak kene makan lempang pagi2 hari....'. ehehehe. ampun incik!

but him being him, he went again for me today. and whaddya now, the tees are on the shelves! one and only batch to reach KL. no more other shipments. but atleast u don't have to Q up outside the store since 2am! unlike in japan.. dah la sejuk nak mati. owh the competition there =='

yeaaa yeaaa, its been so long. i know. heh. if i would to say that its not like i'm out of things to tell but just too excited about going home to care about other things.. would u accept that? LOL. another 16x24 hours more to go till i'm done with india! booyeah! all my things are packed in boxes, my luggage is already half filled. x sabar punya pasal. haha. i am going to miss this place, but enough is enough. i can't take it anymore. IT here includes the food, the people, the mentality of the people, THE PEOPLE. mind, i don't mean everyone here. but still.. urgh. nak balik!!

i'm in my last postings now, surgery! having 2 of the most adorable surgeons teaching us. both almost or maybe even past 70yrs, they are like our atok angkat for 2 weeks. hehe. one of them, dr santosh is very affectionate. and he shows it by physical contact. squeezing the hands, patting the back, etc. 1st class, girls semua nk duduk depan. needless to say, after that.. the behind rows are the hot seats. lol.

the family's at terengganu, nephew getting married. lil bro called me to tell me they went for ICT there, and i was like 'owh, tganu got lampu2 also meh??' turns out, ICT there means ikan celup tepung. sungguh =='

and here it is, the last day of the year.

2010 holds too many dear and some not-so-dear memories for me. i spent a lot of time self-reflecting over things that i didn't think about before. i know how it hurts to fall down on your face, butt, siap golek-golek turun bukit. i found out life may not be a bed of roses alone; also got sunflower, daisies, orchids, even the rafflesia wann. heh :p.

but then, i also knew that its satisfying to get up and still walk about, head high up. i realised who my great companions are at times needed. i knew this before, but i still have to say this. nothing can ever replace my family after their support and love to me through this year. had the best sleepover, the 1st i had in my 22years of living (pathetic, i know). RAFAR will be the death of me, i tell you. loves! best yet; i totally score 3 different BIGBANG DVDs!! courtesy of raihana asila. haha :D

i'm sure everyone are thinking of new resolutions, some more serious than the other. or even, sticking to the old ones and making oneself to be MORE determined to make sure its really done. heh. me, i gave up on these long time ago actually. just no matter how sure i was to be able to cover it, despite the effort, by the end of the year.. its not really what i hoped for. but, it may be for the better right?

realised i didnt make one this year. still, its never too late right. it was 3 days ago, nevertheless i hoped everyone had a MERRY JOLLY HOLIDAY! did u guys meet the dude in red?? he lost weight right?! thought he was a bit smaller this year. heh :) *end of lame joke*

i spent my very non-white christmas camping in the jungle this year. it was an AWESOME weekend. the 11 of us headed to riverredge (y is it not spelt ridge right?? i'm still bewildered over the same thing. trust me.) paradise eco-resort, reaching there only by midnite. so, it was all dark and cold, VERY COLD. wasn't prepared at all, i froze thru the night. see! x need got snow oso :p

the scenery needs no words. then, its jungle trekking!!! wahhhh, manyak rindu ahhh!!! :D. after the whole "becareful, duri!", "owh shit! stupid rock.", etc.. we reached this waterfall where we totally rockclimbed weyhh :p. siap repel repel down some more. cayaaaaa kaaannnnnnnn~ eventho i was scared shitless, those people won't let me go home until i'm done doing both. haha.

a weekend well spent is just what i needed. minus the point that i had the worst motion sickness in the history of mankind, i basically retched thru the whole 5hour journey home. was half dead by the time ainaa opened the door for me. geez =='

have i ever mentioned how egoistic, ridiculous, gila-malas-nak-layan tempe's are. ARGH T.T

two weeks ago, me and ainaa headed to udupi district police station to report ourselves, basically telling them ''HELLO! WE'RE BACK! againn....''. we also gathered info on how to extend our almost-expiring visa's. the pakcik misai gave us this form to fill, and its tajuk was...

and we were like, 'uncle! why alien?!?'. and he was like nodding, looking at us as if the reason is so obvious. i just can't terima, started blabbing how aliens = ET, UFOs, etc. he just wouldn't accept it, suddenly got up and stormed out of the room. the next thing we knew, he came back with a dictionary. he opened the book and started pointing, 'see! see!'

in today's posting, i came across a suicidal patient with severe depression. it really breaks my heart to see people struggling with their everyday lives, hitting rock bottom. having feelings of hopelessness and unworthiness in them. so many hands reaching out to help, yet its not easy to overcome such a burden.

this new patient was telling us, he was ready to take away his life. he even planned it to be on the nov 5th. which means, he had to wait for a whole 2 weeks. why?? his salary day is on the 4th. so?? he wants to pay of the loans he had 1st. nvm that. found out later, his birthday fell on the oct 30th. he celebrated it by giving treats at a children's orphanage. a suicidal patient with conscious and a kind heart. albeit all that; in the end, he stated that no matter how much the doctors help.. there's just no hope for him.

he seemed so... normal. yet, an emotional war rages inside him. pulling him left to right. i gave a small prayer for him, hoping he'll get back to the right path safely~

after 3 weeks of history taking, palpation (a word that i always tersasul with palpitations. hehh :D), main-main with itu stets; medicine postings are finally done! eventho it was very tiring, dgn ada doctor that won't even look at you if u want to ask her something, summore got patients that can pull their blankets over their heads so fast and buat-buat tido when we come near them; it was actually a nice experience. finally, i can see what it means to be a healer. regardless; aiman farhan, you're still to do SOMETHING ELSE and not medicine. harap maklum. heh :)

psychiatry postings coming after. excited? YES. as many of my dear ones know, i've always wanted to be a psychiatrist/psychologist for as long as i can remember. LOL. but it may not be like how i imagined it. fingers crossed people! X)

Criterias for becoming a Malaysian Govt Doctor. Theres no need for an aptitude test. Students should consider these requirements:

1. No life outside medicine; this includes dating, sports, clubbing, chores for your parents and visiting the toilet.

2. Not to live with your parents. Move out ASAP as they will never understand the ludicrous working hours that u go through. Furthermore, chores are not suitable for u as to rule No. 1.

3. Not to be married until completion of all 4 years of Govt Compulsory service as u will be transferred left and right to some of the most remote Govt clinics in Malaysia. Having wife and kids to follow you to your new working area may increase high level of stress on all parties. Furthermore, if your spouse is a Govt Doctor, he/she will also be transferred away from u and no matter what appeal is made, KKM will put up a deaf ear (unless u have big cables or of a certain skin color).

4. If married, no to have children until u finish all 4 years of Govt Compulsory service, as to which u and your spouse will not have much time for your child/children or they end up not recognizing u and refer the Indonesian maid as their mother (change in language patterns commonly follow).

5. To obtain life insurance once your govt service begins as there is not many claims for accidents during work. Don't be fooled, Doctoring in Malaysia is hazardous.

6. Able to withstand 36 hours of non stop work and stress without mistakenly labeling Left for Right or uvula for vulva (or Volvo S40)

7. To buy a car with complete safety features (like I'm doing) which includes multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, side-front-rear-top-parallel and diagonal impact bars and seat belts to ensure survivability if u are involved in an accident because your driving resembled a drunkard maniac after working in the hospital for 40 hrs non stop.

8. Constant supply of coffee

9. Nicotine Patch as u will have the urge to start smoking due to overwhelming stress

10. Interest in watching medical sitcoms such as House MD, Scrubs, ER, Grays Anatomy and Chicago Hope to inspire u to continue your life as a doctor as the exciting things u see on TV does not resemble the real life of a Malaysian govt doctor.

11. Not to have any pets or plants (not even cactuses) as u will have no time to feed or care for them and eventually all will end up in your mortuary.

12. Able to endure the stench of your own sweat as to when 36 hours "on call" does not permit u time to bathe or freshen up.

13. Able to carry on working without food or water over 15 hours. ( I was in OT for 16 hrs without food, water or bathroom breaks). If during fasting month, able to break your fast with ?water for injection? as u had no time to buy food.

14. Able to come to work with fever/cough/illness or physical disability (sprained ankle etc) as to which doctors do not deserve MCs. (My MO was on crutches during rounds)

15. Able to stand scolding, destructive criticism, kiss ass behaviors, racial bias, finger pointing, scape goating, and in competency from your superiors.

16. Able to withstand the jealousy when your friends call u up for some fun and ur stuck in the hospital during on call.

ever had this feeling that u're not adequately enough? no matter how hard u try to make a person comfortable, u can never achieve it. ever thought urself as irritatingly annoying? or is it annoyingly irritating.. does it even make sense? keeping a brave face forward, yet also wanting to shout out of frustration. is it really a crime to be happy always? to look at everything optimistically? i mean, compared to all the so called problems we face.. we are not the ones fighting against a fatal disease; or tak cukup makan ke.. life may not dish out the best of everything for us, but the least we could do is make the best of it right? now, am i being a surrealist; when i should be living as a realist?

its been like what, almost a year? LOL. writing wasn't fun anymore before, things was going upside down for me. but now that i'm back on the original road, i can finally smile and say yawwwww, waddup!! :D

now that i'm in my clinicals, posted at the medicine wards. things are definitely wayy better then sitting my arse down at the study table to study patho, pharm, microb, blaaablaablaaa. more free time too. the rare mild honeymoon phase. haha.

the only thing is, the patients here don't actually know english. not even hindi or tamil kot, kannada is used around here. its basically how, cantonese n mandarin is the major chinese language.. and here, everyone uses hokkien only. aiya. for the 1st day, i felt like a 5 year old in front of the patient. flipping through the translation papers, looking for the word FEVER. took me blarrdy 15mins to ask "aunty, do u have fever?" ==''

asking is fine, the answer is a whole other story. LOL. nodding and geleng2 kepala i can take, yes and no. and we'll all go "aahhhhhhhh, no fever". but if the aunty extra baik and friendly, she'll start to story from A-Z in super speed. catching the words is hard enough, trying to actually faham the words. owh, the horror. haha :)

besides all that, its going great. company and nice memories. LIFE IS GOOD :)

wah. sudah bulan may. time sure flies fast enough, just finished a block exam and i'm already heading towards another one in a week. need to breathe wei! studyin my arse off, in a way laaaaa. haha. just got my internet back, after 6days of puasa. not even a week, yet youtube and FB sempat tukar layout. laju sungguh. just happy that i'm now re-connected to the world :D

u know how i whined and complained it was so hot here.. it WAS!! the whole day, the sun was like 'i'll burnn all of YOUUU' .... erm, u get what i mean lah. then.. a sudden ribut taufan attack at 3am. of all timings! i tell you, it was scary weyh. whole apmnt building blackout till the next day noon, turns out the tiang elektrik outside got striked by lightning. hence, making my modem, the thingy that gives me the net hangus and my MIA story. found out, the whole manipal terbangun cos of the ribut. all the pokok2 and billboards jatuh. caya-ahh..

yesterday, we had a fly-fly kites session. went to support the heamophiliac society, raising funds by selling kites and lucky draw coupons. i tell you, in this situation.. usaha MEMANG tangga kejayaan. haha. itulah hanaa.. time kecik2, dun wan to learn. dah besar, baru nk main =.='

my kite ahh.. when its finally up, it came down as soon as i started to be xcited. aiyo, useless useless.. at least it was for charity, and FUN! ; in a "fly kite, flyyy!! yeayyyy!!! no! no noooooo.. damn." way XD

and tonight, having a potluck dinner at wafa's. owh, makan-makan session pula. saya dibawah biro pencuci mulut. hitting the kitchen later in ze evenin. and now, i gotta study 1st. perlu keep the yin and yang going. if not ahh... itu guru besar di melawati ahh, sure bagi gentle reminder again. heeeeee *peace* :DD

its already the 25th of december. time flew so fast. classes ended officially for 2nd year. 1 week till the block 4 exams. 41 days till the unis. phew.

spent the whole day humming ze carols. from rudolph, to 12 days of christmas, and (my very fav!) santa's coming to town. haha. i miss walking around the malls back home, the carols would be playing & being re-played the whole day for sure ;)

study mode is totally on for everyone now. i spent 5 hrs in the library today, a feat i haven't done for a very BERRRYYYY loong time. rather proud of me-self. haha. i did mention, sudah lama tidak pigi itu library. the security is super tight now, even with metal detectors over the bags before entering the main library. mcm kat airport la pulakkk =.='

me and ze girls bought 2metres of clear plastics to paste on the walls. so, its easier if wanna draw diagrams ke, buat flow charts ke, etc. CEEWAHH XD.

a very delayed update, apologies eyh :)). so many things happened, didn't even have time for a breather.

INDIAN DANCE COMPETITION

it was freakinggg AWESOME! we won 2nd place!! XD All the hard work paid off; a whole month's worth of practice, being pushed and pulled be ze 2 garanggg generals (kuga & ranchini). mind you, the full choreography was by them both, not bad for medical students eyh :D. at least of the batch was outside that night to support us. thank you veryy much all :) ze vdeo link is below. tried to upload the vdeo, it took ages and so i gave up.haha :)

they both planned a surprise visit, with kerjasama from the useless sheila. haha. they spent 4days 3nights here, memborong sarees and periuk belanga (no kidding :p). even celebrated his birthday here :DD

LEGENDA & FOOD FEST

2 main events of MMMC happened over the last weekend when they both were here. legenda is basically a night organized by the MSAI to introduce the malaysian culture to the locals. it was super grand this year as the msia's high comm of india came to officiate the night.

the annual malaysian food fest was also held together with legenda that night. shee sold fried popiah and kak batek. lost count to how many times i had to xplain WHAT is kek batek. haha. and guess what, her stall was the 1st to be sold out! yeay, 'GERAI BEST' ! XD

a non-stop train ride kots. haha. now that everything's simmered down.. focus is back to the studies. gotta go all out, i can literally feel the exams breathing down my neck. sooo tidak appealing ok =.=''

fyi, tadi got 2 health department officers came knocking on the door. they are giving away free medicine for filariasis, which is on a rise here. interesting eyh? and to whom who can understand this; DEC pills are actually sedap! hahaha :)

block 3 is officially over todayy!!!! *grinsss* like any other exams, it has been hard n draining. today's paper was patho practicals. FYI, for this block.. the clinical skills curricular is newly added for us, following according ze unis exams, bla bla bla.
sooo, we had a suturing station @ stitch @ jahit luka lahhh. went for it with confidence and all. even got a "very good!". went to ze nxt station; only to realize, i forgot to anesthetize my patient's hand. started hitting my head quietly.. imagine if it was a real person.. i would have kena terajang weyhhh! hahaha :DD.

dancing competition coming up!! like this wednesday. practice's on full force. a full tube of deep heat is left with only half its content. owell, its now an all out situation right :))

classes starts tomorrow. sooo fast wan. hardly can breathe weyh. block 4's up. unis will be coming soon. *groansss loudly* just thinking about my 1st unis, makes my dread like hell about this 2nd one. it was a traumatic month and i'm NOT exaggerating on that point. but stil, its d end that makes it worth it right :D

everything has slowed down just a tiny tinnyyy bit since d last 2 weeks. as usual; every block exam made us curse, turned us into zombies. everyone had the "i'm dead, ignore me" faces after finishing the CSI paper. haha. i'm on my oh-so-normal detoxifying period of caffeine.. practically drank 3 packets of nescafe each day to make sure i stay awake. actuallyyyy, i think its more of a drug-dependence scenario, but whatever-lahh :))

with block 3 theory papers finnaalllyyy done, the next 4 days are for the practicals. ze thought of having exams on raya is sooo de-motivating. i bet those two budak2 gedik tgh enjoy mummy's rendang ayam, kuah kacang & nasi impit. danggggg~

aidiladha this year is very toned down. prayers in ze early morning, and to rush back to study for the afternoon paper. it kinda struck me....

with all the amount of cows walking around, we could actually have a raya bash.

after all this ends, a hectic weekend starts for the mmmc-ians! back to back; indian dance competition, annual night, lagenda '09 and malaysian food fest. WOOT WOOOT!! i'm in for the indian dance. yeahhh..will try not to break the stage XD

so many things has happened over such a short period of 7 hours. its so draining, really. so many things to shout and rant about, yet i'm keeping it cool. malas nk layan mode. as a great friend of mine said : just lepak-lahh. since they DESPERATELY need the postponement..bagi je lah. lets just ignore the point that we were given the same amount of time to get the routines and costumes ready; regardless that they practiced earlier compared to us; or we had to balance an upcoming very-very-close block exam with the practice timings. i just wonder.. lets just say, i'm not ready for an exam. can i just plainly go to the dean the day before, n say "sir, i'm not ready.can we postpone the exams??". its really a question of ethics here, don't you think? playing dirty, calling the innocent a bitch behind her back (c'mon lah, doesn't that makes u the real bitch? aiyoo), being immature. seriously.. this is soo ridiculous! i hate to stir things up, making it worse as it already is. i'm taking it all in a stride quietly now, but as the saying goes.. karma can be a bitch as well u know :))

this is just alil' something i want to share with all of u.. read this minutes ago, thanks to naj who posted it in mukabuku.. touched me in a way i can't explain. us, as medical students, would know everything there is to a disease. its definition, signs and symptoms, its treatment. but in truth, we'll nvr understand a disease inside out. being laden with information doesn't mean you can truly get a disease, not without actually experiencing the whole works.

My best friend and I were in the diner, talking. As usual, it was very late and we were eating French fries with gravy. Like normal girls our age, we spent a lot of time in the diner while in college, and most of the time we spent talking about boys, music or trivial things, that seemed very important at the time. We never got serious about anything in particular and spent most of our time laughing.

As I went to take some of my medicine with a snack as I usually did, she watched me with an awkward kind of stare, instead of continuing the conversation. She then asked me out of the blue what it felt like to have Lupus and be sick. I was shocked not only because she asked the random question, but also because I assumed she knew all there was to know about Lupus. She came to doctors with me, she saw me walk with a cane, and throw up in the bathroom. She had seen me cry in pain, what else was there to know?

I started to ramble on about pills, and aches and pains, but she kept pursuing, and didn't seem satisfied with my answers. I was a little surprised as being my roommate in college and friend for years; I thought she already knew the medical definition of Lupus. Then she looked at me with a face every sick person knows well, the face of pure curiosity about something no one healthy can truly understand. She asked what it felt like, not physically, but what it felt like to be me, to be sick.

As I tried to gain my composure, I glanced around the table for help or guidance, or at least stall for time to think. I was trying to find the right words. How do I answer a question I never was able to answer for myself? How do I explain every detail of every day being effected, and give the emotions a sick person goes through with clarity. I could have given up, cracked a joke like I usually do, and changed the subject, but I remember thinking if I don’t try to explain this, how could I ever expect her to understand. If I can’t explain this to my best friend, how could I explain my world to anyone else? I had to at least try.

At that moment, the spoon theory was born. I quickly grabbed every spoon on the table; hell I grabbed spoons off of the other tables. I looked at her in the eyes and said “Here you go, you have Lupus”. She looked at me slightly confused, as anyone would when they are being handed a bouquet of spoons. The cold metal spoons clanked in my hands, as I grouped them together and shoved them into her hands.

I explained that the difference in being sick and being healthy is having to make choices or to consciously think about things when the rest of the world doesn’t have to. The healthy have the luxury of a life without choices, a gift most people take for granted.

Most people start the day with unlimited amount of possibilities, and energy to do whatever they desire, especially young people. For the most part, they do not need to worry about the effects of their actions. So for my explanation, I used spoons to convey this point. I wanted something for her to actually hold, for me to then take away, since most people who get sick feel a “loss” of a life they once knew. If I was in control of taking away the spoons, then she would know what it feels like to have someone or something else, in this case Lupus, being in control.

She grabbed the spoons with excitement. She didn’t understand what I was doing, but she is always up for a good time, so I guess she thought I was cracking a joke of some kind like I usually do when talking about touchy topics. Little did she know how serious I would become?

I asked her to count her spoons. She asked why, and I explained that when you are healthy you expect to have a never-ending supply of "spoons". But when you have to now plan your day, you need to know exactly how many “spoons” you are starting with. It doesn’t guarantee that you might not lose some along the way, but at least it helps to know where you are starting. She counted out 12 spoons. She laughed and said she wanted more. I said no, and I knew right away that this little game would work, when she looked disappointed, and we hadn't even started yet. I’ve wanted more "spoons" for years and haven’t found a way yet to get more, why should she? I also told her to always be conscious of how many she had, and not to drop them because she can never forget she has Lupus.

I asked her to list off the tasks of her day, including the most simple. As, she rattled off daily chores, or just fun things to do; I explained how each one would cost her a spoon. When she jumped right into getting ready for work as her first task of the morning, I cut her off and took away a spoon. I practically jumped down her throat. I said " No! You don’t just get up. You have to crack open your eyes, and then realize you are late. You didn’t sleep well the night before. You have to crawl out of bed, and then you have to make your self something to eat before you can do anything else, because if you don’t, you can't take your medicine, and if you don’t take your medicine you might as well give up all your spoons for today and tomorrow too." I quickly took away a spoon and she realized she hasn’t even gotten dressed yet. Showering cost her spoon, just for washing her hair and shaving her legs. Reaching high and low that early in the morning could actually cost more than one spoon, but I figured I would give her a break; I didn’t want to scare her right away.

Getting dressed was worth another spoon. I stopped her and broke down every task to show her how every little detail needs to be thought about. You cannot simply just throw clothes on when you are sick. I explained that I have to see what clothes I can physically put on, if my hands hurt that day buttons are out of the question. If I have bruises that day, I need to wear long sleeves, and if I have a fever I need a sweater to stay warm and so on. If my hair is falling out I need to spend more time to look presentable, and then you need to factor in another 5 minutes for feeling badly that it took you 2 hours to do all this.

I think she was starting to understand when she theoretically didn’t even get to work, and she was left with 6 spoons. I then explained to her that she needed to choose the rest of her day wisely, since when your “spoons” are gone, they are gone. Sometimes you can borrow against tomorrow’s "spoons", but just think how hard tomorrow will be with less "spoons". I also needed to explain that a person who is sick always lives with the looming thought that tomorrow may be the day that a cold comes, or an infection, or any number of things that could be very dangerous. So you do not want to run low on "spoons", because you never know when you truly will need them. I didn’t want to depress her, but I needed to be realistic, and unfortunately being prepared for the worst is part of a real day for me.

We went through the rest of the day, and she slowly learned that skipping lunch would cost her a spoon, as well as standing on a train, or even typing at her computer too long. She was forced to make choices and think about things differently. Hypothetically, she had to choose not to run errands, so that she could eat dinner that night.

When we got to the end of her pretend day, she said she was hungry. I summarized that she had to eat dinner but she only had one spoon left. If she cooked, she wouldn’t have enough energy to clean the pots. If she went out for dinner, she might be too tired to drive home safely. Then I also explained, that I didn’t even bother to add into this game, that she was so nauseous, that cooking was probably out of the question anyway. So she decided to make soup, it was easy. I then said it is only 7pm, you have the rest of the night but maybe end up with one spoon, so you can do something fun, or clean your apartment, or do chores, but you can’t do it all.

I rarely see her emotional, so when I saw her upset I knew maybe I was getting through to her. I didn’t want my friend to be upset, but at the same time I was happy to think finally maybe someone understood me a little bit. She had tears in her eyes and asked quietly “Christine, How do you do it? Do you really do this everyday?” I explained that some days were worse then others; some days I have more spoons then most. But I can never make it go away and I can’t forget about it, I always have to think about it. I handed her a spoon I had been holding in reserve. I said simply, “I have learned to live life with an extra spoon in my pocket, in reserve. You need to always be prepared”

Its hard, the hardest thing I ever had to learn is to slow down, and not do everything. I fight this to this day. I hate feeling left out, having to choose to stay home, or to not get things done that I want to. I wanted her to feel that frustration. I wanted her to understand, that everything everyone else does comes so easy, but for me it is one hundred little jobs in one. I need to think about the weather, my temperature that day, and the whole day's plans before I can attack any one given thing. When other people can simply do things, I have to attack it and make a plan like I am strategizing a war. It is in that lifestyle, the difference between being sick and healthy. It is the beautiful ability to not think and just do. I miss that freedom. I miss never having to count "spoons".

After we were emotional and talked about this for a little while longer, I sensed she was sad. Maybe she finally understood. Maybe she realized that she never could truly and honestly say she understands. But at least now she might not complain so much when I can't go out for dinner some nights, or when I never seem to make it to her house and she always has to drive to mine. I gave her a hug when we walked out of the diner. I had the one spoon in my hand and I said “Don’t worry. I see this as a blessing. I have been forced to think about everything I do. Do you know how many spoons people waste everyday? I don’t have room for wasted time, or wasted “spoons” and I chose to spend this time with you.”

Ever since this night, I have used the spoon theory to explain my life to many people. In fact, my family and friends refer to spoons all the time. It has been a code word for what I can and cannot do. Once people understand the spoon theory they seem to understand me better, but I also think they live their life a little differently too. I think it isn’t just good for understanding Lupus, but anyone dealing with any disability or illness. Hopefully, they don’t take so much for granted or their life in general. I give a piece of myself, in every sense of the word when I do anything. It has become an inside joke. I have become famous for saying to people jokingly that they should feel special when I spend time with them, because they have one of my "spoons".

just now, he called. telling me, he found a "HANNA'S FILE" in the main office's pc. which is rather odd amongst the other car-related files. turns out to be an article i wrote when i was in form 4. it was something i did, when my school entered that STAR newspaper competition.. alah,u know.. the one that each school can construct their own newspaper. what was the name ek?? forrgott lahhhh.aiyo~

nways, re-reading the article made me smile. reminiscing those moments all over again. i just miss high school so much, the carefree feeling :))). those in 4 Alpha 2004 might remember this, for the others.. i thought i would share this small memory of mine :)

Valentine’s Day, a day much celebrated and revered by the young and not so young but nonetheless romantic at heart. Valentine’s day is very much a day of the declaration of love and affection not only between two lovers, but also between siblings, parents ,students and teachers and just about every meaningful relationship.

The origins of Valentine’s Day traces back to an ancient roman celebration of Lupercalia. Held on 15 February, Lupercalia festivities are purported to increase the pairings of young lovers. While the pairings of couples set the tone for today’s holiday, it wasn’t called Valentine’s day until a priest named Valentine came along. Valentine, a roman at heart, disobeyed Emperor Claudius’s decree that soldiers remain bachelors forever. Imagine that….not having anyone to love in your life. Well, Saint Valentine found this ridiculous and performed secret marriage ceremonies. Claudius, then, had Valentine jailed for defying him. Valentine was put to death on 14 February for his disobedience. The Lupercalia Day was moved from February 15 to February 14 and was renamed Valentine’s Day to honor Saint Valentine.

Today, Valentine’s Day is celebrated all over the world with each having its own unique tradition. The origins of the most popular customs almost certainly traces their roots to a conventional belief generally accepted in England and France during the Middle Ages.

Britain would most certainly be the country which has set the tone in the celebration of this day. Different regions of this nation celebrate their own customs to honor this day, although the sending of cards and gifts is a standard procedure in the country. One uniform tradition is the singing of special songs by children who then receives gifts. In some areas, Valentine Buns are baked with caraway seeds, plums or raisins.

The Danes of Denmark, on the other hand, has a unique way of celebrating Valentine’s Day. It is common for people to send pressed white flowers called Snowdrops to their friends. A cheeky Danish man also sends a form of a valentine known as a gaekkebrev (joking letter).The sender of this gaekkebrev pens a rhyme but does not sign his name. Instead, he signs the message with dots…one dot for each letter in his name.

The tradition of celebrating this special day has been adopted and celebrated in Asia . In East Asia, particularly Japan , the Japanese has taken the celebration to a higher personal level. They celebrate Valentine’s Day on two different dates…February 14 and March 14.On the first date, the female gives a gift to the male. The male has to return the gift he received on the second date…also known as the ‘White day’ .Thus, a Japanese female has a luxury of actually choosing her own gift. Rather practical, don’t you think?

Similarly, in Taiwan , Valentine’s Day is celebrated on two different dates. It is celebrated on February 14 and also July 7, based on an ancient Chinese folktale. The color and amount of the roses given as a gift holds much significance. For example, one red rose means “an only love” and 108 roses means “marry me”.

Valentine’s Day is also shrouded by many rites and superstitions. The belief in some happenings can be frivolous and not at all acceptable in this modern world. It was once believed that if an apple is cut in half on Valentine’s Day, the number of seeds found inside the fruit will be an indication of the number of children that individual will have. This is science in all its simplicity.

In the fourteenth century, the romantics believe that to be awaken by a kiss on Valentine’s Day is considered lucky. Whilst, in Britain and Italy , some unmarried women would rise before sunrise and stand by the window watching for a man to pass. It was believed that the first man seen would be their husband within a year!!! One of the most ancient of Valentine’s Day rituals originated from Wales . Here, traditionally, if a young female is curious and brave enough, she can conjure up the appearance of her future spouse by visiting a graveyard at midnight on the eve of Valentine’s Day. She will sing a prescribed chant while running around the church 12 times. It sure sounds spooky, but what great lengths will the ladies do for their love life.

Saint Valentine’s Day is much associated to the rose. Interestingly, the letter of “rose” when rearranged, form the word “Eros”… God of Love. Different colors of the rose have different sentiments. A lavender rose means enchantment and uniqueness. On the other hand, beauty and passion is expressed through a deep red rose. Another flower linked with Valentines Day is the violet. In the language of flowers, the violet is symbolic of faithfulness.Valentines Day is undoubtedly a day of declaration of love. Through the years commercialism has crept in and made a mockery of this day. Now, the person who receives the biggest card or teddy bear, the most expensive candle light dinner or the most number of roses is the envy of others. Gone are the days when a simple “I Love You” would suffice. Would not it be better to show your affection by a simple gesture of a smile or a hug ????..

its already Oct 24th. my last post was Sept 19th. *wiping blog page* sungguh dusty sudah. in my defence, i was superbly very overly totally-indescribable BUSY. SIBUK. SANGAT NO TIME. with that, hope i got the point across. haha :p.

1st things 1st. i'm back in manipal. *cue a reluctant YAYY!* its back to books, classes and bland food. my block 3 started rather uniquely, for i was LITERALLY kicked out of school. haha. actually, it was because i took xtra holidays for raya, hence was MIA for the 1st and 2nd day of classes. came back, found out the dean (who is superrr baik) is now superrr angry, was not allowed to go to the next few classes until the admin decided abt the punishment. i wasn't alone on this okayyy, there were a whole lot of us! 35 peeps to be exact.

can u just imagine the headlines:

we should have been ashamed of ourselves, but it was pretty amusing i suppose. quoting a lecturer who made fun of us, "every batch is always memorable. its just how u guys want us to remember all of u". we definitely made an impression, enough to be mentioned again and again and again and AGAIN to all the upcoming junior batches.LOL.

don't worry. we didnt suffer much. the only thing is we can't afford to miss anymore classes to maintain the attendance percentage.heee~ so,classes starts! and within one week.. out of the blue; we had assignments, homeworks, unfinished business on MSP (my mentor-student-project which i mentioned before here.the presentation day is actually today.haha), ILs, PBLs, SDLs...

this is where the busy part comes in. for 3 weeks, we havent had a single free time; MSP taking up most of our effort. trust me when i say the MSP journey wasn't a smooth one at all. cursing was plenty, the late nights, in a zombie state when in class, the unexplainable amount of stress. i'm just plainly relieved its all OVERRR~

today was the presentation day. my group hand-made our own poster. took us the whole night. i went out at 6pm, to only reach home at 2am. mind u, it was done with only one more day to spare.powerr kan kami :)). the end results was great! it was rather nice, siap ada 2 REAL ciggies on it.haha :D. was dead-tired by the end of it, but the experience and all knowledge shared made it all worth it.ngeeee~

had a greaaaattt (but not satisfying enough) shopping trip. owh owh, finally!! COTTON ON is in malaysia. the price is actually pretty reasonable, considering that it's at pavillion. later, we went to LEPAQ since the night was still young ;)

basically, its a great place to 'lepak'. hence the name :p. it hosts many acoustic live band performances, both solo and groups.

the ambiance has a lounge-ish feeling to it, with wall deco expressing music. situated at 2nd floor of kelana mall, kelana jaya; food is also served but there's nothing to shout about on it. its really a home for local musicians-in-making to jam, entertain people by doing what they love and relax :)

Merdeka Train Party

the MTP organized by Random Alphabets was joined by 200+ people during the 31st. me and aiman didn't miss the fun, gathered with the others at KL Sentral that afternoon. the point of the whole event was to decorate the interior of monorail trains and have a PARTYY to spread the merdeka cheer!

were divided into 7 teams to cover ALL running trains that day. we were supposed to blend in with the crowd till Medan Tuanku station; though i don't think we managed that by carrying ribbons all over.haha.

basically a team for each train. with the cue given, we rushed in respective trains and decorated everywhere with flags, stickers, ribbons etc etc etc. reaching the last station, i.e Titiwangsa, the stencil and balloon teams were waiting. and taddaaa! a decorated train!

we then rode back towards KL Sentral; singing negaraku, birthday songs, tanggal31 or just randomly shouting MERDEKA. haha. the public just gawked. some shake their heads, some played and sang along. it was just so much fun :)). we got off at Tun Sambathan station to greet other trains. the monorail drivers even joined the fun by pressing the horn every time the train passed us.

pure clean vandalism, i say! haha. the write-up on this event is out today in the STAR (star two section) and the video report by The STAR is below :))

had a NZ-date with him and friends to watch the manU vs ARSENAL game last night. in conclusion?

we played the better game obviously, scoring our goal nicely. they won from a free-kick and an arsenal's own-goal (still hurts, thinking about that useless goal.ARRGHH!!). we could have drawn easily with that beautiful last minute goal, if its not due to the off-side call.

lady luck was basically MIA on our side. n like what that certain guy with a new manU jersey says, "its the end results that count". (WHATEVERR sayang :p)

nevertheless....

been hanging out with my girls for the past 2 days. had a buka-puasa outing yesterday at Seoul Garden,OU. 1st time there, great 1st impression. cheap enough, korean bbq buffet, A LOT of food. as how fahmi said, makan sampai lebam :)). us 5 lepak-ed at starbucks after, i HAD to get my dose of javafrap. terlalu rinduuuuu. teeheehee~

later, we (without rose) headed to Rasta, TTDI for their dose of shisha. i stress the THEIR part, saya budak baik tau :)). we talked, laughed, talked summore till 3am! uber fun, thats all i can say.haha.

today, the same faces. had a shopping trip! rose acted as our guide around Jalan Telawi, Bangsar. twas a perfect day :)

dearest shura n rai, u both are sorely missed. hurry back!!

awhile back, i promised my brother we would have a dessert-making session together. and today's menu included truffle! credits to adrina puteri who 1st gave me the recipe. though, i think mine lagi sedap than yours :p

finally rasmikan my brand new Kenwood Mixer, a present from mummy. wheee!! :). been wanting 1 since ever. no more big bowl and manually stirring the batter. i was in awe, the mixer even came with 3 diff beaters. simple words, twas a jakun-fied moment. heehee~

i gave the instructions from the sidelines, since aiman wanted to learn the works. ended up, the chesse sauce xjadi! haha. thats when the big sis comes in to save the day! :D. turns out pretty delish~

yeah, transited twice. travelling and fasting is not really a great combination. buka puasa at chennai, which got worst since i last went there. no a/c working and people had to fight for chairs to sit. uselesss =.=

but but! in the flight from chennai to KL, me n noreen met this super good-looking steward. no need to tell u how we acted, kalah budak2 bawah umur ;))

i'm in the middle of my block2 exams now, which has been draining me mentally. yet the stress is not as bad as 1st block. the thought of going home in 1 WEEK has been putting all of us here is high moods :). shee even has her own witty way to countdown the days till MALAYSIA :p

found out about the demonstration that happened in KL yesterday. i guess the ISA issue is still alive and kicking. 1st thing that came to my mind was

its not really something to be bragged about.i read that there were over 10000 protesters outside sogo yesterday shouting "reformasi!!" and "abolish ISA" and bla bla bla. when i think of it, pictures from the buku sejarah form 3 just pops in my head. remember those black n whites in the book?? haha.

come on lah people. these kind of aktiviti-mempromote-diri really don't achieve that much.our country is known for its peace and democracy. its even OBVIOUS that malaysia is TOO SMALL for things like this.quoting noreen, 3 more of these events and malaysia goes down :p. well,its kinda true what. isn't there a better way to go around this?? rather then walking in the heat,getting pushed around,stung by gasses,hit by water canon. buat sakit jeee.. =.=

in my opinion, ISA law has been a part of this country for awhile and has made malaysia the way it is. why change something that is already good enough? roite?? not that i know about it inside out.cakap mcm pandai je.hahaha :))

apparently, recently STAR and RHB bank has collaborated in holding a competition amongst all secondary schools in the nation, "mighty minds"..or something like that.and as usual, SMKTM always last minit in looking for a team to send.LOL.

my lil bro got a phone call from his teacher on the saturday afternoon (dunno since when he's so popular wann) ; was asked to gather another 2 and represent the school in the competition the NEXT DAY. got his two friends,sacrificed their sunday..anddd almost won! i'll let him do the rest of the story-telling.

yesterday, we had a sort of lawatan sambil belajar to the KMC hospital's blood bank and the clinical pathology lab. so,at 9.30 am..i made my way towards the blood bank 1st,to see the rest of the group were already there.

uber cool i tell you.in the blood bank, we were shown basically how to collect blood. to ought to know that donating blood is not simply done. the procedure is enough to make you cross-eyed. getting the blood is one, keeping the blood is another. the medical officers would actually have to divide the blood into parts for testing n storage. i found out that a bag of blood can only be kept for 5 days max. xplains why the public is often urged for blood donation.

next, we headed to the patho lab. where they do tests on blood,urine,stool,etc for any abnormalities. we're shown a room full of machines made to do things we learnt in class.

(what's the point of burdening us with xtra curricular if they already have machines for it i say.. sheesh =.= )

the technology now is superbly advanced, making us go 'oooooohhh' and 'aaahhhhhh' everytime the machines move an inch.haha. was shown more cool stuff, had a small briefing and it ended.

at 1.30 pm. hungry.

that was all i could think of.haha. headed to the foodcourt and ate.ze end :))

this morning, i proudly say that i was the one who woke noreen up, which is a very rare occasion indeed. ignoring the fact that we were already running late at that time.ahahaha.

i tell you, being in 2nd year with classes starting only at 9am rocks! but then,its adverse effect includes developing tolerance to it. so, during those occasions when classes are brought forward to 8am, waking up bring thoughts like 'nak pontenngggggg' or 'to hell with it lah.good night!' :))

and to think, a year back..waking up at 7am was such a breeze.oh well. still not complaining about the 9am. haha!

i was saddened to hear the news about yasmin ahmad, who is currently in ICU after getting a stroke attack in TV3's studio at Sri Pentas. datuk siti nurhaliza was the one who actually helped with the chest compressions during the CPR process while waiting for the ambulance.

for those who is wondering who she is (nampak sangat anda bukan true malaysian, or just plain katak bawah tempurung ;) ) , yasmin ahmad is a famous malaysian director,writer and script writer. her many produced adverts and films are known for their humour and features on malaysia's multi-cultural community.

headed to mangalore yesterday for the long waited movie, riding the bus alone ain't that bad of an exprience :)) the movie??

amazed. amused. brilliantly awesome!!

without a doubt, i think everyone should carve some time out to watch this movie. it was magically well done by director david yates, great acting by its casts and don't even get me started on the CGI effects.

my favourite scenes involved the cave, where

harry had to force down the black water down dumbledore's throat, which i thought was perfectly done according to the book

the ring-of-fire effects. yeay CGI!! niceeee :)

not forgetting, how the friendship btween the three was beautifully shown at the stairway scene, when hermione depended on harry for a shoulder to cry on (u deserved the bird attacks won-won!! ). and how in midst of all the tension, yates managed to show the humourous side of the story very nicely too. who would also imagine that THE great draco malfoy had such a sensitive side of him.

i went out of the cinema, grinning widely eventhough a twinge of dissapointment was felt. as i've told everyone, they just haddd toooo cut off the last parts of the book. i was looking forward for the funeral and the end battle which was MIA. the ending was rather abrupt too..

spent my whole evening watching every harry potter and the half blood prince's trailers and interviews on youtube. its basically the movie i've been waiting since everrr.. and for the 1st time,i'm not watching a harry potter movie premier.sighhh~

i then,searched to find out that the movie has premiered in India during the 10th!! my grin faltered when i saw it didn't cover mangalore!! (which is d nearest cinema from manipal, yet still being 2hrs away) my mistake of getting excited too early.. i heard that the HP movie will only be out in early august here, since transformers just got realesed here last week... by that time, the movie would be covered with crytococcous neoformans (to the persons scratching their heads, its a kind of fungus).

i shall just have to wait patiently, grinding my teeth while sitting in a corner.

sharp at 12am.. the doorbell rang. n conveniently noreen's fone rang at THAT moment. so,i was asked to open the door.embraced for any weird attacks, i opened the door to see my other two biatches, sumethee n si sheila swift bearing a cake n a bag full of chips. being them,they started singing my birthday song as loud as they could n off-keyed..hahaha.
we munched, gossiped, laughed our assess off, popped poppers, blew balloons and made each other pregnant and other stuff which is indecent to be told here.hahaha :)).

woke up with a nice sight, the sun shines its rays on the manipal land.and it lasted the wholeee dayyyy.
was cursing my forensic lecturer.had to drag the class till foreverrr.n i was sooo sleepy. i was just plain CRANKY
went jogging, after weeks of rain. otw back.. [out of nowhere,with no warning whatsoever,suddenly] it RAINED cats and dogs! i reached home sambil perah baju from air hujan.hahaha.

and tomorrow, me & noreen are heading to mangalore to check out transformers2 on the big screen and have a shopping spree :))
and 2 days more till i'm officially legal~!

i got hit with a migraine attack this morning.so.. dengan terpaksanyaa i had to skip 2 of my morning classes *grins*. when i finally get up to be ready for the afternoon class, i found out that the GREAT Michael Jackson has passed away early this morning. i was literally rendered to speechlessness... i'm not a fanatic, yet his passing affected me in a way i could not discribe.

kak syikin organized a potluck for lunch today. me n noreen were in-charged with fruits and d drinks.went out of the house in d rain to get the things. may i say, we both sgt pro in mixing drinks and cutting fruits now.ngeee :))
i ate so much, i thought i was gonna xplode. we had ayam masak merah (kak syikin), udang+nenas masak lemak (kak naufa), fuchuk chinese style (ain) and jagung pudding (elle). i definately found heaven :D

later in the evening, i had my futsal tournament, under supremo games. andddd.. proudly i say, WE SCORED AND WON 1 GAME !!! it continues tomorrow, pray that it'll go well for us okengs!

yesterday, myself n noreen had small measley shopping spree.trying to find ourselves outfits for the upcoming supremo ball.

supremo ball : *refering to the ball part of the word* NO,its not a dinner and dance. its basically a time for us, mmmc medical students, to gather,have a laugh and dress up to the nines :))

found things we wanted, went home and started modelling away.haha.

made history today. i woke up at 6.30AM on an exams-over-very-perfect&sunny sunday for a futsal practice. fahmi woke me up sharp at 6.15, slow-talking me into waking up,telling me that my friends would be waiting for me. i DID become concious,but long enough to only say 'yes sayang..dah bgn dah niii..' andd.. i slept back.haha. sowie kamuh :)

my own alarm went off 5minutes later.making me awake and cursing away, snoozed it twice, then realised i'm going to be late. somehow,someway..i managed to push myself up, got ready and went to sharada court.

all in all,i'm rather proud of myself :))

minus the point that i came back to only roll on noreen's bed for another 3 hours.hahaha :D

tomorrow, block 2 officially starts.going back to classes again.sighh.. the only thing thats keeping me perked up is the thought of HOME

T-minus 10weeks till i see KUALA LUMPUR again !!!!
